I'M BAACK!!

WOW! It has been forever and a day since I have posted on here. Things have been so crazy and busy the last few months I totally forgot I had this blog.

Well since my last post in Feb so much has happened. All 5 of my kiddos have had birthdays. Alisa had her sweet sixteen. She is growing up so fast. I am so proud of her. She has really turned into a beautiful young woman. Jacob turned 14 and also graduated 8th grade this year. He went to the 8th grade dance with a friend from school. They looked so good! He is so tall though, 5'9"!! He towers over me by 6 inches.He will be starting high school in about 2 1/2 weeks. WOW, 2 in high school. I am so old. Tony is going into 7th grade this month. My little man is getting big. He is still a tiny little thing though.He starts baseball this week for school. Stephanie starts junior high this year also. She is doing so good since her surgeries for her ear. She has not let it slow her down at all. And Mackenzie is going into 3rd grade. She is also getting tall. I can rest my chin on her head when she hugs me and all 4 of us girls can wear each others shoes. Mackenzie is only 8 but can wear a size 7-8 flip flop. She is going to be a tall one.

My dad has recovered pretty good from his surgery I mentioned in my last post. He has been in the hospital a couple times, but he is stubborn so he is doind ok now.

We had a family reunion in June for Jerrys family. The end of this month we are going to the family reunion for my side. That will be interesting. LOL!

Alisa has also completed the drivers ed class for behind the wheel at school. A few short months and my baby will be a licensed driver. Where does the time go?

Well my crew just came in from a 5 hour game of baseball and they are hot!! So I guess more updating later.

Happy Valentines Day

Today is Valentines Day! I hope everyone has a loved filled day today.

Well this past week has been a rough one. My dad had triple bypass surgery last Friday and things didn't look to good for the first few days. He had to stay sedated for about a week after surgery. His lungs were filled with fluid and his rate was really high. I went up to see him Friday and he is thankfully doing much better. He was awake and talking and I was able to give him stuff to drink. The entire time I was there his heart rate was only 69-70, so I am thinking my mm made his heart rate so hgih. I told him I would be by Saturday to get his heart rate under control after seeing my mom Friday night. LOL! And Saturday I went up with Alisa and he had been up sitting in the chair and ate some real food. It is crazy though because Wednesday or Thursday night I posted a thing on Facebook asking people to pray for him and the next day he started showing a major change in his health. Prayer really does work.

Busy Week

Well last week I had a list of stuff to do and needlesss to say I only cleaned out my desk. Jerry and Jacob were very helpful and cleaned the 2 main food cabinets in thee kitchen. I started to clean my room today but just didn't have the energy.

Mackenzie seems to have pink eye again. I have been giving her eye drops and its clearing up so hopefully it feels better tomorrow. The kids are off Monday and my plan is to have them straighten up the basement and get my room done. Once I get that done I will feel better. Jerry keeps saying he will help me so at least I am not diong it alone.

Then Tuesday is a super big and exciting day, Stephanie gets her hearing aide device. She is so excited. She was told last month that she would get it this month and she has been excited ever since. I am so happy for you. I can't wait to see her face when she starts to hear things clearly the first time.

Then Wednesday I have to have my hernia surgery. Its nothing major but I wanted it done before my trip to Washington DC in March with Jacob.

And one day this week, hopefully Tuesday I am taking Alisa to the DMV for her drivers permit. I can not believe she is old enough for that already. It will be nice to have another driver around here, since I hate driving most of the time. Then again I don't want her to grow up yet. I have mixed feelings about it. With her starting high school 2 years ago I have come along way dealing with the kids growing up but this is a big milestone. I found myself tearing up at Jacobs high school orientation though. I guess it doesn't get any easier.

Look Alikes

People have always said all my kids look alike. In fact their school has told me that they have never seen brothers and sisters look so much alike. I can go into their school see a kid from one of their classes and that kid will know who's mom I am without ever setting eyes on me before. Well I have always seen a little of Jerry in each of our kids, but to us we always said they looked like themselves (Jerrys mom once said this when we were discussing who Alisa looked more like). Well we have never really been able to place Tony to which of us he really looks. That is until yesterday when my sister sent me an old picture of my sisters and myself way back in the day. As soon as I showed Jerry we knew where Tony got his looks from. Even the kids thought it was an old pic of Tony. So I did this little side by side pic the best I could for comparison and from what I can tell, he definitely gets his looks from me!LOL!

Yesterday was a fun day. Stephanie had a birthday party and when she got home she got a phone call to go over to a friends house. So Jerry took her over there and took Tony and his friend with him cause they were stopping at the store. This friend of Tonys was going to stay the night. Well when Jerry gets home he has another kid with him! So Tony had 2 friends stay over, three 11 yr old boys half the day and all night makes for a noisy night. I do have to admit though all in all it was good. The boys were very well behaved even though they spent most of the time wrestling in the girls room and I only had to tell them 2 times to go to bed around midnite.

Tuesday I am going to organize my bedroom. I need to get some boxes since I am packing alot of it away or throwing it away. I actually have a list of goals I want to accomplish this week. I am thinking it will run into next week though since I want to take my time and do it all right. Here they are

-Totally clean out computer desk
-Organize the computer desk when its clean
-Clean under my coach (I had to get something from under it the other and YIKES!!)
-Straighten and organize kitchen cabinets and shelves
-Clean my room
-Take my computer tower apart and clean it.
-Clean out my van.

Today Mackenzie and I cleaned her room real good and Jacob keeps they boys room clean so everything else is set.

Julie and Julia

Jacob got me this movie for Christmas and I loved it. I think Julia Child is so cute and adorable. Anyone who likes to cook needs to see this movie.I'm not big on cooking but still loved the movie. And Julie Powers the one who blogged about all the recipes was amazing too. She took her two passion, cooking and writing, and made it into something she loved to do. I wish we could all be that lucky. I really need to find something I am really good at and go for it 100%. The few things I am really passionate about aren't exciting. Cleaning, organizing that type of thing. In fact I am trying to settle down on that a bit because it is affecting the kids. Tony wouldn't shut the silverware drawer the other day because one fork wasn't lined up with the rest. I just have to sit and think of what else I am really good at and am willing to commmit myself to doing.

I did it!!

I don't know how but I think I finally got it. It took forever but I kept at it. My finger must have done about 100 push ups with all the clicking I had to do. LOL. And I think that takes care of my excercise for today so now it is nap time and I can officially restart blogging tomorrow!! YAY!!

I have finally decided to start blogging again and I am trying to make my page all pretty and it won't work. I put the code in, I even had my friend Mya do it for me but it keeps coming up all weird. A pretty blog page, is that to much to ask for? :(
